What would you do? Am I making a dumb decision?

Im in a crossroad... Im in quite despair. My boyfriend and I split up after almost 8 years, 5 of them living together. I moved to a city I didn�t like to be with him, I got a job but after almost 2 years I cant stand my boss... but well, i get payed... After the breakup I quit and want to leave the city cause we have the same friends and such and I need to change my scenery!! Am I dumb for quitting my job and leaving my friends and not having any other options laid out already? Im thinking of going to the US a while... but I get cold feet and wonder if its for the best or not! No one wants me to leave not even my boss! :( i wish i could just disappear (or have my own plane)... well... lets see your opinions hehehe
