How Can I Get Medical Attention?

After returning to Canada from a trip in April, I started having pain in my right ock. I went to my doctor and he said it would take a year to get an MRI, so I went to a private-pay clinic and had one done. The results showed mild lumbar degeneration, but I had one done in the USA 2 yrs ago that showed multi-level bulging of discs. I have had a nerve conduction and vascular test done and they were normal.......but the pain has gotten much worse. I can only stand for a few minutes. My pain level is a 9 (1-10 scale) at night. I have been in extreme pain for months. I have paid thousands of dollars on physio-therapy/acupuncture/mage therapy/chiropractic because my doctor referred me to these alternative specialists. I live in a small Ontario town and I am unable to make my doctor understand the severity of my pain. My Dr gave me a referral to a neurologist, but the appt was a yr away (it will be in June). I am 59 yrs old and have lost my life. I have stenosis in my cervical spine and I think I may have lumbar stenosis, but my doctor is doing nothing. He did give me two cortisone injections this month, but that was after 9 months of onset. I am taking Lyrica/Arthrotec and 30mg Oxycontin per day. I do not want to live if I have to exist like this. How can I get help? Our small hospital is not well-equipped and the emregency room is not an option.If enyone has any information on how to get medical help, please let me know.
