I'm interested in becoming a surrogate..?

I need some opinions from someone who has either been a surrogate or is the parent of a baby carried by a surrogate. Was it emotionally difficult to carry/ have someone else carry?? how about the birth, the legal situation? also what about medical insurance? who takes care of that?
