yes, 4 hours for a important event is more important then hanging out with your friends, you can do that any time. you have all weekend to study, its not going to hurt to take a 4 hour break for something that is important to your mom, if you wake up at like 9 every day and go to sleep at say 10, youll still have 22 waking hours for studying and homework. youll be fine. listen to your mother and dont complain. you can see your friends some other time.
