Grey's Anatomy FANS...would Denny have died if Izzie hadn't done what she did?

Like was it Izzie's fault Denny died? Could he have been alive if she didn't cut his lvad wire and make him worse so he could get the heart? Or was it bound to happen just from the surgical procedure?
