Question about using bronzer?

usualy i put bronzer on my temples, cheek bones and jaw lines. my jaws are really big and chunky and low down, so if i put bronzer on my jawline will that make my jaw look bigger or will it help make my jaws look smaller? and are there any ways to make my jaws stand out less and look smaller and less-noticable? thanks for all your tips etc xxxxxx :)
