I'm thinking of taking cles for Patient Care Technician. Would this be a good career change?
I'm a 42 yr old female with a background working in corporate America as a payroll manager. I would like to work in the health care field. My goal is to go to nursing school but I need to do some prerequisites before even being able to apply to RN school. Is getting a PCT certificate a good way to immerse myself in the health field? If so, how much can a newbie make in the Chicagoland area? Is this route toward an RN degree worth it? And, most importantly, am I too old for this career change? Pls advise. Thanks!
