Do you think the DEA should be abolished?
Along with the many other worthless departments and entitlement programs. The DEA alone wastes more than 20 billion dollars annually and has spent over 1 TRILLION dollars over the best 48 years of it's existence. Yes, 1 trillion dollars of our tax dollars spent on a worthless department/agency that has had little to no success and has not done anything to curb drug addiction in America. So the U.S. spends more money than any other country funding horrible agencies such as the DEA to put drug dealers away and yet they are number 1 in the world in drug use. Common sense would tell anyone with half a brain that, if something isn't working it has to be fixed. The thing that aggravates me the most is, the DEA will get a 2 million dollar seizure of dope then parade around the news cameras and reporters like they just won a war. When in reality, there's 100 times that amount coming in from one truck load right behind it, plus the drug dealers will be replaced within a matter of minutes. Here's a fun fact, as long as something is illegal there will be a huge mark up and criminals will always be involved and profit mively from it. So drug dealers and the DEA are the ones who are profiting from this system, meanwhile the tax payers pay for it. Makes no sense. As a fiscal conservative republican I also think there are many other government entitlement programs that must be abolished, but the DEA's budget is one of the highest in the U.S. That's why I brought it up.
