Do I have any other options besides accepting Jesus as my lord and savior to avoid burning in hell?

I am a little more optimistic than the average Christian and believe there has to be a few more ways to avoid eternal damnation... Like community service work maybe? Wouldn't that do the world more good than someone like Mother Teresa traveling to countries where the per capita income is 18 cents a week and telling those people to create more starving children?
